I'll Bend the World to our Will...
Well, it's been awhile since I've put fingers to keys, but fortunately I haven't neglected the garden. See below!

As you can see from previous pictures, I had a few vacant plots, and a few more that never came in. So, I fleshed out the remaining squares. A new assortment of spinach, carrots, and red & white radishes. Thanks to the heat and repeated dowsing, the garden is exploding and the new plots will be green and bright by the end of next week.
In the past few weeks, we've also got a small herb garden online in the kitchen. Sprouts are very long and very slender in all the planters, which concerns me a bit (reaching too far to get to the light from the window), but there are definitely plenty of sprouts. There is also a possibility I'll have a larger table in the basement before the week is out, at which time I can finally start getting some grow space set up downstairs. Confirmed that Lowe's has cheap florescent racks, and Mulhall's has grow light tubes.
I continue to be amazed by the results of gardening. We have started getting our first harvest of ripe tomatoes from the community garden plot, and those tomatoes have started working their way into our regular meals. I'm still not a huge fan of tomatoes, but the taste from these is far superior to anything I've ever had before. The color, the texture, everything is more appealing. I've been eating green peppers (another rarity), and pulled the last of the first round of radishes and onions from the community garden plot. Better still, the peace and comfort is still there. There is good medicine in tending life, whatever form it may be in. Most soothing.
